Johannah P. Clawson, 87, of Economy, died Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Heritage Valley Sewickley.

Born May 5, 1925, in Sewickley, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Graham Beck, she was an activity therapist with Friendship Ridge, Brighton Twp. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Economy; the Economy Women’s Club and the Circle of Friends in Baden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Clawson; a brother, James Beck, and a sister, Marion Sergeant.

Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Woodrow W. Clawson Jr., Economy; William A. and Bridget Clawson, Hopewell Twp.; Wendell W. Clawson, Economy, and Winlin W. and Tammy Clawson, North Sewickley Twp.; a daughter, Woodra W. Eakin, New Brighton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Carol Beck, Economy and William and Gladys Beck, Economy; a sister, Celia Jewel, Brighton Twp.; eight grandchildren, Kelly, Maura, Lucas, Travis, Kaylee and LeShane Clawson, and Jacob and Lacey Eakin, and two great-grandchildren, Rowan Byers and Tigen Clawson.

Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the GABAUER-MATTER FUNERAL HOME, 1133 Church St., Ambridge, where a service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. The Rev. Patrice Wierick, of Center Twp. Lutheran Parish, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
